National Concessionary Pass

The National Concessionary Pass is a bus pass giving free bus travel throughout England after 9.30am Monday to Friday, and any time at weekends and bank holidays.
If you hold an National Concessionary Pass issued by Eastbourne Borough Council, you may use this pass from 9.00am for travel within the borough of Eastbourne.


Who is eligible for a National Concessionary Pass?

You may be eligible for a National Pass if you are a permanent resident of Eastbourne and you are:

  • 60 or over, or
  • are disabled and eligible, or
  • are not permitted to drive or likely to be refused a driving licence for medical reasons .

Where and how do I obtain my National Concessionary Pass?

If you are eligible, you should obtain a National Concessionary Pass from the Local Authority in whose area you live. Each Local Authority has its own arrangements for issuing the National Concessionary Pass and you should ask your Local Authority for detailed information.
