Service 52 Diversion - Tunbridge Wells

Due to roadworks in Tunbridge Wells, the following diversion will be in effect during the above dates.

When travelling towards Tunbridge Wells, Service 52 will turn left after Frant, right onto the A26 and then onto normal route. When travelling from Tunbridge Wells the reverse will be followed.

We apologise for any inconvenience these roadworks may cause.

Airbourne 2005 - Park & Ride Bus Service

For the period of Airbourne 2005, 11th - 14th August, a car park will be sited at Five Acre field, at the end of Lottbridge Drove adjacent to the Sovereign Centre. A special bus service will be operated starting at 9.30 am from the Car Park to a bus stop in Cavendish Place near the Pier. The service will operate every 15 minutes throughout the day with duplications at busy times and the last bus leaves at 7.30 pm.

On Sunday 15th August a special "Fireworks Link" will operate from the Car Park to a bus stop in Cavendish Place near the Pier. The service starts at 7.30 pm and will operate every 30 minutes with the last bus leaving Cavendish Place at 10.30 pm.

The fare on this service will be £1-50 adult with one child travelling free (additional children charged at £1 per child) each way, including parking.

Airbourne 2005 - Park & Ride Bus Service

On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August, an additional car park will be sited at St Andrew's School at Darley Road in Meads. A special bus service will be operated starting at 9.30 am from a Bus Stop in Wellcombe Crescent to a bus stop opposite the Main Event Arena at the Western Lawns on Eastbourne Seafront. The service will operate every 15 minutes throughout the day and the last bus will leave at 7.30 pm.

The fare on this service will be £1 adult with one child travelling free (additional children charged at 50 pence per child) each way, including parking.


  Airbourne 2005 - Traffic Congestion

At peak times during Airbourne 2005 bus services in the Town may suffer disruption due to heavy traffic attending the above event.

Eastbourne Buses will make every attempt to operate services as close to the published time as possible.

St Nicolas Church - Grand Summer Fete

The Grand Summer Fete at St Nicolas Church in Pevensey is being held, in the garden of Marsh Hall, on Saturday 27th August 2005 between 11am and 3.30pm.

As well as all the usual stalls and raffles there will be Dynamic Live Entertainment on the lawn, children's fancy dress competition, demonstration by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Refreshments and a small display of Classic Cars.

Entrance is by a lucky Programme and cost 50p.

Herstmonceux Castle Medieval Festival
Special Bus Service

The Herstmonceux Castle Medieval Festival is held annually over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. It has grown to become Britain's largest three day celebration of the middle ages! In this magical setting history will come to life. Hundreds of combatants with cannon support will siege the castle walls. Mounted Knights will joust and Europe's finest Archers will compete. Activities and entertainments for the whole family: Fire-Eaters, Falconry, Puppeteers, Strolling Minstrels, period Craft Stalls, Living History Village and Kid's Kingdom. If you are travelling to the event by rail, then catch a train to Polegate Rail Station. Eastbourne Buses are operating a special bus service from Polegate to Hertsmonceux Castle. A bus will depart every 30 minutes from 9:30 am. Buses will leave the festival on the hour and on the half-hour with the last bus departing at 6pm. The travel time is approximately 20 minutes and the cost is £2.00 adult single and £1.50 concession single (children up to 16, OAP's and disabled people). No return fares available.
