Problems were caused to Service 52 during the morning owing to a property fire and subsequent road traffic accident blocking the A269 in both directions near Rotherfield.

A diversion was put in place but this was not suitable for double deck buses so we operated a smaller shuttle bus to transport passengers between Mayfield and Tunbridge Wells. Unfortunately we could not get through to Rotherfield while the road was closed.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused owing to these circumstances which were beyond our control. It is hoped that normal service will be resumed by midday.

Traffic calming measures have now been completed in Adur Drive, Stone Cross so services are once again using this road.

Due to roadworks on the southbound carriageway of the A22 delays to some services using this road may occur, especially at peak times.

We will do everything we can to minimise any delays and can only apologies for any inconvenience these works may cause.
