Due to road re-surfacing works in Priory Heights, Hill Road and Filching Road bus services 3 and 3A have had to be withdrawn on a temporary basis from this area of the town.

Although every effort will be made to run the service to and from the old turning point in Filching Road this is currently congested with contractors equipment and therefore the service has also been withdrawn from the Central Avenue area until this problem can be resolved. The works are scheduled to take up to three weeks.

Due to the ongoing road re-surfacing in the Hill Road area we will be operating a Free Shuttle Service from Monday 8th September until further notice. This will be operated from Central Avenue to up Hill Road on Mondays to Fridays. For Saturdays the normal services 3 / 3A will operate providing no roadworks are taking place.

The Shuttle Service will operate to the following times:

Due to roadworks at the junction of Kingfisher Drive and Sevenoaks Road, Services 1 and 1A cannot turn left at the end of Kingfisher Drive. When travelling from Langney Shopping Centre to Town these services are turning right out of Langney Shopping Centre and then going via Willingdon Drove and Sevenoaks Road.

Services from Town to Langney Shopping Centre are not affected.

Normal bus services have now resumed in the Priory Heights Estate.

Buses were temporarily withdrawn and a shuttle bus operated while contractors were working on resurfacing the roads in this area which have now been completed.

Due to roadworks in Meads Street and Meads Road services 8 and 18 have been diverted with immediate effect and will remain so until the works are completed.

Service 8 will operate along Milnthorpe Road, Darley Road, Wellcombe Crescent, Dukes Drive, King Edwards Parade, Chesterfield Road, Darley Road and Milnthorpe Road.

Service 18 will operate along Chesterfield Road, Darley Road and Milnthorpe Road.

Temporary Bus Stops are situated in Milnthorpe Road, near the junctions of Darley Road and also Dalton Road, and in Meads Road, near St Johns Road.

The Seafront Service will finish for the winter on Sunday 28th September.

Due to the use of a large mobile crane next to the hoardings at the old Devonshire Baths site on Monday 29th September Temporary Bus Stops will be in use in Compton Street. These will be sited at Lascelles Place on journeys to Meads and at Wilmington Square (near to the Congress Theatre) on journeys to the Town Centre.

Stop/Go boards will be in use all day, approximately 0700 to 1900 hours, so some delays to Service 8 may occur.

From Tuesday 30th September until Thursday 2nd October roadworks mean that services will NOT be able to use Cavendish Place and Pevensey Road when travelling towards the Town Centre. They will use Trinity Trees instead. The nearest Bus Stop for Pevensey Road (Gala Bingo Hall) will be outside the CO-OP in Trinity Trees.

On Service 6 travelling towards the Town Centre it will be the normal route via Ashford Road and Susans Road. On journeys from the Town Centre Service 6 will operate via Trinity Trees, Seaside Road and Bourne Street to Cavendish Avenue.
