Fares Revision from Sunday 29th December 2002 The Company regrets to advise that fares and conditions will be revised on the above date: Twelvecards Twelvecards will cease to be sold after 28th December 2002. Unused tickets sold before this date will be honoured until 28th February 2003 (inc). After 28th February unused tickets may be submitted to the Company for proportionate refunds up until 30th June 2003. After 30th June no requests for refunds will be accepted. Saver 7 Saver 7 tickets will be increased by £1.00 to £11.00 for seven days travel. There will be no change to the area of validity of this ticket. Day Return Fares - Country Services Day Return Fares on Country services will be increased by approximately 10% rounded to the nearest 10p. Fares within Eastbourne Borough Fares Zone A flat fare of £1.00 single will be introduced throughout the Eastbourne Borough Fare Zone (50p for children under 16 and Countycard holders). The current one-zone 60p single fare (30p children or Countycard holders) will be abolished. At the same time the Eastbourne Borough Fare Zone which already includes Stone Cross and Pevensey Bay will be enlarged to take in Willingdon, Farmlands, Polegate and Dittons Wood. The £1.00 flat fare will apply throughout this enlarged area and current single and day return fares will be abolished. Whilst the Company has been successful in containing costs without increasing fares over the past three years it is no longer in a position to do so due to major cost increases outside the Company's control.
