Service 8 Diversion

Owing to the Seven Sisters Marathon taking place this weekend, it will be necessary to close certain roads to provide access for the contestants to assemble before and after the Marathon.

The roads to be closed are as follows:

DUKES DRIVE and UPPER DUKES DRIVE between CLIFF ROAD and WELCOMBE CRESCENT including HOLYWELL ROAD.

These roads will be closed between the hours of 0800 and 1600.

Service 8 will therefore operate from Meads Road via Milnthorpe Road and Darley Road and terminate at Meads Street.

Closure of Arndale Centre Bus Stop Shop

We regret to inform customers that the Arndale Centre Bus Stop Shop will close at the end of trading on Saturday 27th October 2001. All business will be transferred to our Travel Office in the Railway Station where our staff will be ready to assist with all enquiries and ticket sales.

We also remind customers that the Twelvecard ticket can be purchased from the bus driver.

As well as being available at the Station Shop excursion bookings may be made using a credit card over the telephone on 01323 416416. The £1 charge that was previously made for this service will be dropped from the 29th October.

Sadly the cost of operating two town centre outlets so close together could no longer be justified as the Company continues to try to keep fares as low a level as possible.

We regret any inconvenience caused.

Services will be resumed on Sunday 4th November but will be withdrawn again if any further instances of vandalism occur.

We apologise for any inconvenience this action may cause, however customer safety must be our priority.
